Privacy notice

This notice explains which personal data may be generated when you use generalishotel.hu, why it is processed and which rights are available to you.

2. Our principles

We process only the data necessary to operate the service, handle your enquiry or booking and comply with legal obligations. We do not sell personal data and do not perform advertising profiling on this website.

Appropriate technical and organisational safeguards are used to protect data from unauthorised access, alteration and loss.

3. Processing carried out through the website

Technical logsIP address, date and time, requested page, response code and browser identifier are processed for security, troubleshooting and abuse prevention. Legal basis: the controller’s legitimate interest. Logs are rotated daily and 14 archived logs are retained.

Language preferenceYour selected language may be stored locally by the browser. This is not advertising tracking and can be deleted in your browser settings.

EnquiriesWhen you contact us by email or telephone, we process the contact details and message you provide. The legal basis is taking steps before a contract, performing a contract or our legitimate interest in closing the enquiry. Data is retained until the matter is closed, where necessary for up to one year, or for the statutory period if a contract is concluded.

Room bookingThe “Booking” interface connects to the HotelSystem service. The booking provider and the controller process the data required to prepare and perform the accommodation contract. The external interface’s own privacy notice also applies.

Job applicationsName, email address, phone number, area applied for, CV and message. Legal basis: steps taken at the applicant’s request before entering into an employment contract. Applications are retained until the selection process ends, but for no longer than six months.

generalishotel.hu currently uses no advertising or visitor-profiling analytics cookies. The external booking service may use different technologies on its own interface.

4. Recipients and service providers

Access is limited to designated staff and technical providers only to the extent required for their duties.

hosting and server infrastructure: Akamai Connected Cloud (Linode);
technical email service provider: kolar.david@generalishotel.hu;
room booking system: HotelSystem;
competent authorities and accounting provider where required by law or by the matter concerned.

Any disclosure is purpose-bound and limited to the data necessary.

5. Your rights

You may request access, rectification, erasure or restriction; object to processing based on legitimate interest; and, where the conditions apply, request data portability.

Send your request to info@generalishotel.hu. We respond without undue delay and no later than one month.

6. Changes to this notice

If the service or the way data is processed materially changes, this notice will be updated and a new effective date will be shown. The privacy terms of booking and other external services are determined separately by their operators.
